Air New Zealand economy couch seating


Air New Zealand will transform international air travel later this year when it introduces revolutionary, Kiwi designed lie-flat economy seat

The airline today revealed its Economy Skycouch
One of the best economy class seats ever had in the air
The Economy Sky couch seats will be available on air NZ new BOeing 777-300 aircraft and will be flying on selected services to and from London (via LA) from April 2011. It will be progressively rolled out until completed in 2012.

Whether you’re a couple who’d like a bit of extra room, parent with a young child or a parent with two restless kids, you’ll find new Economy Skycouch is the perfect solution. The Skycouch is a trio of three Economy seats that together create a flexible space for whatever you want it to be - an area to relax and stretch out in, or for the kids to use as a play area. It’s like having your very own couch on the plane.
Twenty-two sets of Skycouch seats will be available, being the first 11 window rows in the Economy Class cabin.

For two adults travelling, purchasing the Skycouch will be based on buying two seats at standard prices with the third seat at approximately half price. Full airfare details will be announced when it goes on sale from late April.
